                                            <p>This simple model of mine is inspired by the bat weapon called batarang or baterang.</p>
<p>A batarang is a roughly bat-shaped throwing weapon used by the DC Comics superhero Batman. The name is a portmanteau of bat and boomerang, and was originally spelled baterang. Although they are named after boomerangs, batarangs have become more like shuriken in recent interpretations. They have since become a staple of Batman&apos;s arsenal, appearing in every major Batman television and movie adaptation to date. Recent interpretations of the Dark Knight finds additional motivation to use the batarang as a ranged attack (alternative to firearms, which he rejects outright due to the circumstances of his parents&apos; murder) and is used primarily to knock guns out of an assailant&apos;s hand.</p>

 liked the Idea but the hex holes were too close to each other for me, so
 I made one that I could tweak to fit my need. You can adjust several things, like the number of hex bits it can hold, the height, etc. I also made a lid to go 
with it. </p><p>I&apos;ve added a couple improvement after having printed mine, I&apos;ve added holes in the bottom to help removing bits if they get stuck. And I&apos;ve added holes on the lid to make it easier to remove as well.</p><p>I suggest to print one with 5mm height and 4 holes in it to test and adjust the width of the hex shape, ideally it should be slightly tight to hold the bits whilst easy to remove.</p>

<p>This spacer is used on the x/y rods of an UMO between the bearing and the pulley. Scaled to the needed length it allows for fixing the rods with the pulleys from the inside of the frame instead of using end caps with friction. The idea of the design was first introduced by Ultimaker with the UM2.</p>

<p>Replaces the original material cooling fan, which has significant amount of back-blast (, i.e. inefficient,) with an impeller type fan, and a fan duct and nozzle design similar to that on a Replicator 2.<br>Print quality is improved, but nozzle design still needs improvements. I bought my fan at an electronic parts supply store. It&#xA0;<br><br>Part was printed in PLA &#xA0;on my Ultimaker using Cura 14.03.<br>Designed using ViaCAD v9.<br><br>1. Print part&#xA0;at 0.2mm layer, 80%~100% fill, no support.<br>2. Tear out support structures.<br>3. Replace connector on fan if necessary.&#xA0;<br>4. Mount fan to printed part using 20mm long screws and nuts.<br>5. Mounts directly to carriage thumb screws using 2 nuts.<br>6. Connect and tidy up wiring.</p>
