The first design change I made was to split the blue and silver components as separately printable parts. This reduced the amount of support structure needed. I further split the silver into two rings, four bars, and a cage, for the handle. The more pieces I used, the cleaner the final design. More pieces do require more gluing of parts in the end.</p>
<p>Recommend a Silver and Gold Sharpie, super glue, translucent white/clear or blue for the emitter, dark blue (tardis blue?) for the large components, and silver for the remaining parts.</p>

 I modified the original design to add holes instead of slots for mounting, made the hook slightly smaller and added more gap for the locks to fit together easier. I did all the modifications in Tinkercad and show it on my YouTube channel: I printed it in Solutech ABS on my Flashforge Dreamer. 0.3 layer, 50% fill.

Also I am unsure if there will be any problems with the STL, in reguards to other printers. I have test printed it on my SLA printer.
