Spring Powered Treat Launcher

This is a quickly made (and somewhat flawed) launcher I use to give my dog treats! I designed it to fit mini milkbones.

I have curated multiple Glock magazine "replica" files from the internet, and have organized them for viewing or hobby purposes. I made the springs willy nilly and have no idea if they work, they are an afterthought anyway.

<p>The standard / basic version is just the simple Rooster and measures approx. 57.5mm x 82.5mm x 9mm. At this scale the designed in decorative detail should be clean and clear when printed on a well set up machine with a good slicing app (Refer images). Scaling down will reduce the amount of visible detail in the print. Scaling up should be no problem.</p>
<p>The key fob version is approx. 30% smaller (45mm x 55mm x 8mm) than the standard / basic version to make it a practical size for use on a key ring and so it will still fit in a pocket comfortably. However, this reduces the amount of visible detail in the print. You can scale up X / Y uniformly (not Z) if you want a bigger Rooster.</p>
<p>Print in your choice of colour and scale up if required. Scaling down is not recommended. You can make your Rooster two colors if you want by pausing the print at 1.0 - 1.5mm in and 1.0 - 1.5mm before the end. Just watch the print as it progresses and the formation of the detail makes it easy to determine suitable times to change colors.</p>
<p>Quick, easy and fun little prints for yourself, as a decoration or as a gift.</p>

                                            <p>NERF Guns are popular all over the world and used for a bit of harmless fun at home, around the office / workplace and outdoors. It provides a new sporting / competitive dimension to NERF Gun fun.</p>
<p>The target itself is a moving one piece print with hinges. The second part is a small flat strip of PLA that is used as a return spring. Both parts only uses a bit over 60gm of PLA at recommended setting (including Raft). As an alternative to printing a PLA spring you can cut a similar size strip of flexi / springy plastic from an old plastic container of some sort.</p>
<p>Allocate a specific number of NERF darts to each competitor and score their hits. This target makes it easy to see hits as it is spring loaded. You can hear a hit and see it spring back... then it pops back up and into place ready for the next shot.</p>
<p>The target is easy to mount. Either use a couple of screws into a block of wood, a wooden bench, shelf or fence then slot into place. This makes it easily removable if you want. The alternative is to clip it onto a bench, table or shelf using a large bulldog clip.</p>
<p>This is a great fun alternative to the usual &apos;human targets&apos; NERF Guns are commonly used for... and it can become very competitive.</p>
